We visited wineries near Yountville a couple of times this year. We had to be masked when not tasting. Here we are at Trefethen winery in June 2021.

And here we are unmasked, ready to taste at Trefethen winery.

We also visited Castello di Amoroso winery with my brother Dan (pictured here) in September. It's an authentically built European castle. His wife Susan was with us too and there is a shot of all four of us too. In December we did our traditional annual wine tastings at Silverado & Trefethen.

We took a lot of classes, some cooking, some Osher Lifelong Learning Institute. Here's Alan posing proudly by our paella in in the [Kitchen On Fire] Paella class.

In all we took 17 courses, including Great American Bands, Extreme Politics, Cybersecurity, American History 1815 - 1850, Shakespeare in Modern Times, and How the US Spent the Legacy of the Greatest Generation.

In November we ventured over to the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco to see the teamLab: Continuity exhibition, an immersive experience where we were surrounded by fantastical animations of birds flying, fluorescent flowers, fluttering butterflies, and darting fish. Some were interactive where moving your hand along the wall would affect the behavior of the moving objects.

Alan got an eVscope that made it really easy to capture excellent photos of deep sky celestial objects such as this: the Owl Nebula (M97).

Diane could not resist taking this photo of one of the many squirrels who visit and inhabit our back yard.
