We really lucked out in Iceland also, because even though weather was all over the place—from drifting snow across the highway to freezing rain to chill-to-the-bone winds to sunny skies—one night turned out clear and there was aurora alert and we got to see a whole sky lit up with northern lights. Utterly impossible to capture even with video in a planetarium. Photos on this page:
